Event Number Two Along the Glorious North Shore

A week after hosting the screening of Why Not Home? The Surprising Birth Choices of Doctors and Nurses, at 6:00 Wednesday evening, July 24th, Sadie Sigford and I will be hosting a follow-on event at the Grand Marais Public Library!

We’ll be discussing American homebirth and homebirth midwifery with an in-depth look at our statistics, our training, and the quality of care homebirth midwives are able to provide their clients.

We’ll also be discussing how to achieve and maintain the level of health that positions women and their babies to enjoy normal, low-risk pregnancies, labors, births, postpartum recoveries, and seasons of new parenting—pregnancies, labors, births postpartums, and parentings well-suited to home, if home is so desired.

Many of you will remember I visited the Grand Marais Public Library last year to talk about A Midwife in Amish Country and really had an amazing time! That’s where I met Grand Marais midwife, Sadie Sigford and Two Harbors midwife, Wendy Coulter, as well as a number of other very lovely souls whom I hope to meet again.
